Detective Inspector Napoleon "Bony" Bonaparte was an Australian policeman, son of an Aboriginal woman by an unknown white father, whose adventures were chronicled in a series of novels by Arthur Upfield.

In an introduction to an otherwise-unconnected Upfield novel, Philip José Farmer suggested that the English cricketer and Wold Newton Family member A.J. Raffles could have been Bony's father.

Bony's grandson, David John Bonaparte, also went on to become a police detective in the television series Bony.
