For other people called Mycroft Holmes, see Mycroft Holmes (disambiguation).
Brian Mycroft Holmes is the name given by Brad Mengel (in his article "Watching the Detectives, or The Sherlock Holmes Family Tree" in Myths for the Modern Age ed. Win Scott Eckert) to the son of Dr. Siger Holmes and Violet Clarke, who is also father of Siger Holmes. Philip José Farmer simply refers to him as "Mycroft Holmes" in his originating work Tarzan Alive. Brian Mycroft Holmes is the ancestor of, for example, Sherlock Holmes, and in the Farmerian mythos is the member of the Holmes Family who married into the Vernet Family.
Mr. Mengel ascribes various other children to (Brian) Mycroft Holmes in both the original online and later print versions of his article.
