Dr. Siger Holmes is one of the travellers mentioned by Philip José Farmer in Tarzan Alive as having witnessed the Wold Newton Meteorite strike. He was accompanied by his wife, the former Violet Clarke.
Siger Holmes, a medical man by profession, was the son of Mycroft Holmes of the farmstead of Mycroft in Sigerside, Yorkshire. Siger and Violet were the parents of a son, Brian Mycroft Holmes.
The Holmeses are the ancestors of such figures as Sherlock Holmes and Professor Challenger.
