Elizabeth Bennet was Regency-era gentlewoman who eventually married Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy. Their courtship was chronicled in the novel Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. Elizabeth was one of several sisters, all of whom feature in the novel, including her youngest sister Lydia who, in the course of the novel, elopes with George Wickham, who is then forced (rather against his better judgment) to marry her. It is Darcy's efforts in this matter that ultimately wins him Elizabeth's hand.
She and Mr. Darcy were present at the Wold Newton Meteorite strike, as identified by Philip José Farmer in his works Tarzan Alive and Doc Savage: His Apocalyptic Life.
Tarzan Alive also shows Darcy and Elizabeth as the parents of Fitzwilliam Bennet Darcy. Farmer's "Jongor in the Wold Newton Universe" also gives Delhi Darcy as their daughter, although in his notes to the piece in Farmerphile #12, Win Scott Eckert argues that she is more likely their granddaughter.
