Honoré Delagardie was a Frenchman rescued from the guillotine by Sir Percy Blakeney. Delagardie married Philippa Drummond, and both were present - alongside Sir Percy and Honoré's in-laws - in Yorkshire in 1795 to witness the Wold Newton Meteorite strike. They are all described by Philip José Farmer in Tarzan Alive.
Philippa gave birth to twins, whom she and her husband named Paul Honoré and Charles. On the deaths of their parents a few years later, the boys were adopted by relatives named Dupin, and in later life Charles continued to use the Dupin name. Descendants of Honoré and Philippa include Lord Peter Wimsey and C. Auguste Dupin. However, it must be noted that in the French Wold Newton Universe, Honoré is said to have been cuckolded by Louis Lupin, who was (posing as) his coachman, and it may be that M. Delagardie was not in fact that biological parent of one or both of his children.
