Micah Clarke was the son of the more famous Micah Clarke, the central character of a novel by Arthur Conan Doyle. Mrs. Clarke's maiden name was Sarah Frobisher. Allan Quatermain was one of the descendants of the Clarkes, through the younger Micah.
