Monique Delacroix of Canton Vaud in Switzerland married a Scot named Andrew Bond; their son was the secret agent James Bond. A few scarce details about them were revealed by Ian Fleming in On Her Majesty's Secret Service and You Only Live Twice. Further information has been released by John Pearson in his book James Bond - The Authorised Biography of 007 which reveals that Andrew and Monique had a second, older, son, whom they named Henry.

The Delacroix family figure in Charlie Higson's Young Bond novels, which take place following the deaths of Andrew and Monique Bond in a climbing accident.

According to Philip José Farmer in Doc Savage: His Apocalyptic Life, Monique was descended from a daughter of the French hero of the Napoleonic Wars, Brigadier Gerard.
