Paul Honoré Delagardie was one of twin sons of Honoré Delagardie and his wife Philippa (the other was Charles Dupin). Paul's parents were witnesses to the Wold Newton Meteorite strike, a few years after which they were killed. Paul and his brother were brought up by relatives named Dupin, but on reaching his majority Paul resumed his original surname.
Paul married Marguerite Blakeney, daughter of the man who had rescued his father from the guillotine. His mother-in-law was a celebrated English actress. The Delagardie' son was named Francis, himself grandfather of both Lord Peter Wimsey and Richard Wentworth.
Paul H. Delagardie and his relatives are described by Philip José Farmer in Tarzan Alive.
