Sir Nigel Loring
was a fourteenth-century English knight who served in the Hundred Years' War as the leader of a band of mercenaries known as the White Company. His adventures are described in two historical novels by Arthur Conan Doyle, The White Company and its prequel, Sir Nigel.

In Doc Savage: His Apocalyptic Life, Philip José Farmer identifies Sir Nigel Loring as an ancestor of Captain Blood and Sarah Frobisher, and, ultimately, of Doc Savage himself.
